Mathieu Challières and artisan in Paris, therefore the multitude of colours and variety of birds may be different from the image shown. Based on a copper wire frame and pendant with a antique brass finish.

Created in 2006, Les Volieres are unlike anything that came before them. Having become iconic, they are now distributed in nearly 40 countries. These are handmade products in Paris, France. The placement of the birds is always similar but the choice of colours varies according to the mood of the moment. Aerial and joyful, we never tire of their poetry.

Delivery to Northern Ireland is £15.
We currently don’t ship outside the UK.

Who is Mathieu Challières?

Self-taught designer Mathieu Challieres began his creative journey in advertising, specializing in film writing and winning awards at Cannes during his time with Publicis. However, his passion for independence led him to leave advertising in the early 2000s and pursue his long-held hobby of creating objects.

With a background in art history from the École du Louvre, Mathieu's deep understanding of form and design naturally flowed into his creations.

Lacking interest in the mechanics of commercial development, Mathieu chose not to invest capital into his company, opting for a creative process that required minimal resources.

His mastery of plaster strip techniques allowed him to craft his first luminaires, quickly gaining attention from decorators and prestigious stores like Le Bon Marché in Paris.

In 2006, Mathieu introduced his now-iconic Volières, a unique luminous object unlike anything seen before. Handcrafted in his Belleville workshop in Paris, these distinctive pieces are now distributed in over thirty countries, embodying his artistic vision and independence.

Are there any other costs?

Some of our curated brands are imported from Europe (such as Kave Home which comes from Spain).

When this happens there can be an additional import duty of up to 10% of the order value.

We will always let you know if there are any import duties to pay on the product page.

We can't currently deliver website orders to BFPO addresses or to address we believe to be insecure such as PO Boxes.

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

We have currently suspended deliveries abroad due to the new customs tariffs.

How do I return an item?

To initiate a return, use our Returns Centre on the website, including your order number, contact details, and reason for return. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping, which is unfortunately non-refundable.

How long do I have to return items?

If you change your mind, you can return the unused item in its original condition within 30 days for a refund. Ensure all original packaging and labels are intact, and the product is undamaged and unused, excluding normal examination.

How soon will I get my refund?

Refunds will be processed within 5 working days of receiving the returned item. Partial refunds or e-vouchers may apply if the item is not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts.

What happens if my order is damaged?

If your item is damaged, faulty, or incorrect, contact us immediately via the Returns Centre or email, providing photos of the shipping label, outer box, and received goods.

If goods are visibly damaged upon delivery, check them before signing or sign as 'unchecked' or 'damaged.'

Notify us within 7 days, including photos, to arrange a return and replacement. Please do not dispose of packaging, as this may invalidate the return.
