From Italian design house Seletti, this mug from its Hybrid range fuses together imagery influenced by 18th century fine bone china from the west and the celebrated and ancient production of porcelain in Tangshan, China. Refined by hand, this motif from the Ctrlzak collective features two different detailed designs sliced in half down the middle, as though two mugs have been joined together. Sir John Soane was a keen collector of ceramics and our Museum has many fine examples of both 18th century Chinese and English ceramics as well as more unusual treasures such as his collection of Huaco pottery from Peru. Seletti porcelain is dishwasher safe and chip resistant; this is a great gift idea. Each mug comes presented in environmentally friendly, ribbon wrapped, display box.
